POSM device of liquid-phase ethyl benzene technology of Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing is adopted, and PO cogeneration SM technology of Spanish Repsol is selected.
Main properties
It is a colorless, transparent, and oily liquid with a pungent smell, insoluble in water, but soluble in most organic solvents like alcohols and ethers. It is flammable, combustible, and corrosive. It is a low toxic substance that may irritate skin and mucosa and has an anesthetic effect.

Main applications
It is used as synthetic rubber and plastic monomer for the production of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), polystyrene (PS), and expanded polystyrene (EPS), and also used to copolymerize with other monomers for the production of engineering plastics for different uses. In addition to this, it can also be used in pharmaceuticals, dyes, pesticides, mineral dressings, and other industries.
